An Intermittent Fasting Testimony

"I have been practicing intermittent fasting (IF) for more than 3 years now. I began doing so for the potential cognitive benefits related to aging, such as improved memory and executive function skills. Then about a year ago, I learned of the potential health benefits of intermittent fasting, which gave me addition reasons to practice IF. I learned that the body adjusts its hormone levels to make stored body fat more accessible promoting weight loss and overall health. Also, when practicing IF our cells initiate important repair processes and change the expression of genes potentially having a positive effect on hypertension, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis and some cancers. There are no guarantees that IF will have all these positive outcomes on my health but I’m finding practicing IF is definitely worth doing."
